...of the cannonby mcrochipComment by metoecus: The cannons behind the one in the foreground lead my eyes out of the image. Photographing this from in front of one of the cannons would have avoided this problem.

Shot From Aboveby mcrochipComment by sacs: it's lovely that u were able to take this picture, "from above" but i think that the quality of this pic, may have been the downside of taking this picture, while flying. but this pic is still very interesting. the train thing must've come just in time. but nevertheless, good job. :) |

I think there really needs to be a greater point of interest in the photo. There is too much haze in the photo, and the train tracks are not prominent enough. When I think of wide angle, I am thinking of a very large, prominent foreground object with a lot of ground after that towards the background, emphasizing the foreground subject. This just doesn't have it. |

Shot From Aboveby mcrochipComment by echoman: Where was this taken. Is this VA? Harpers Ferry? Anyway, the colors seem washed out. Maybe its just the haze. |

Branch of Jewelby mcrochipComment by LadeeM: **Greetings from the Critique Club!**
Very nice! The DOF is great, the colors are nice, as well as the contrast. Great composition. The only thing I would have to say is going against it is the beetle. Having it there confused me, because your title tells me the subject is the Jewelweed, but the beetle draws my eyes away from the yellow blooms. Along with this, the focus seems more on the beetle than the branch.
Overall, this is a very pleasing photo, technically and compositionally. Keep up the good work!
