I really like cityscapes and this is no exception. Only one suggestion ... it feels like it's tilting to the right ... maybe an optical illusion but if it were me, I'd level it. Then again, I'm a nut about accidental tilt, so don't sweat it.

Yes, your juxtaposition works wonders in this image. The composition, though very center-heavy, is great for your message as is leads the eye where all the people are converging, to the symbol of old, majesty and power. Well done.

I normally prefer a bit more natural toning (did you put in a touch of HDR there?) but I like how your tones add punch to an already powerful image. 10 from me.
