to me, there's just too much empty space. I understand what you were attempting. I would have preferred just a little more cropped off the top. Still leaving a ratio of 6:1, sky to sand. Either way, a nice shot!

I think this is a lovely photo I like the composition and perspective and the soft processing however I do think the eyes are a little over processed and do not fit in with the rest of the photo. I also like the title as it implies a story :)

I am not sure what the two bright spots by his nose are but they just completely mess up the picture in my oppinion. the look in the dog's eyes with the blue tones creates an incredibly powerful and emotive photograph, but the eye is natually pulled to those random spots, i would airbrush them lightly with some of the blue color and then the focus goes back to htose amazing eyes.
