I can't articulate all the reasons I like this so much, but I do. Partly it makes very good use of white points and black points. The focus and deep DOF are technically excellent. Composition with the reflections and the subject ships is strong. Among my top picls. Hope it ribbons !

Thanks to all for the comments. And yes the colors are real but I did add a little to the saturation. As a zoo shot I did take this through glass into a natural enclosure. He had wandered up and just sat down in front of me! What luck. I lost some focus due to the glass and had to get rid of some relection. Wish I could have gotten rid of the noise also. Maybe next time. Again, thanks for the comments.

You've done a wonderful job of capturing the expression of the Orangutan. Great catch light in the eyes. The only thing is I think it needs a little more DOF so the entire face is in focus and not just the eyes. Well done. 9

I like everything but the eyes. I'm not sure what could be done about the glassy wet eyes, but they seem distracting.
