Normally a shot this busy doesn't work for me but in this case it does. I find myself following all the different ropes trying to figure out where they go. Very nice composition and exposure. I'll start with an 8, may bump later after I have looked at everything.

This was a poor effort on my part. I had this idea for some time but never really got around to going to the location and getting the early morning shot I had envisioned. Found that I had taken this on my way back from a shot for the textures challenge and decided at the last minute to use it. Color cast is off, focus is soft (500 mm w/ monopod), and setting is just not that interesting. I need to stick with not submitting unless I get the shot I want.

In any case that you to all who voted and commented. It all helps.

really interesting background. the composition is good, but the picture seems to be lacking something. maybe it looks a little tooo shut in with the wall of logs. i'm not getting tranquility much from the picture.
