I think he's looking at you like he's hungry. The tight crop works well. The shadows are a bit harsh, but the rest is great.

aww! What an adorable tortoise! Good crispness and clarity, especially on its body below its neck, where it is very finely detailed. To improve in my opinion it is slightly to closley cropped for the angle the tortoise is at. :-) good photo, love the title !
