Winkin', Blinkin' and Nodby taterbugComment by macrothing: 7 - Nice colors and perspective. Criticism; less trees in the fore and perhaps an even sharper perspective, and a slightly different crop at the fore, may have made this even better in my opinion. |

Winkin', Blinkin' and Nodby taterbugComment by Kavey: Nice composition and nice use of framing using three different trees/ bushes. I like the three stacked columns and the way they provide both a strong vertical as well as a diagonal. The colours of the lights are also really ineresting. Works well for me. |

Winkin', Blinkin' and Nodby taterbugComment by Jutilda: WOW - I'd never think I'd say that a shot like this is beautiful but it is. The colors, the clarity and the flair of the lights! I think what truly does it for me though, is the yellow tree in the lower right. It adds complementary tgones to the blues. The tree branches in the upper right are like fingers reaching out to touch the smoke stacks. The tree branch in the upper left helps balance it tout. This is great!! 10 |

Winkin', Blinkin' and Nodby taterbugComment by Nald: This looks all too familiar to me. My father worked for Utah Power & Light for a very long time, and this looks JUST like Gatsby seam generation plant in downtown SLC. If it's not it's a very close match to a power plant in my home town. ;)
About the shot. Beautiful, I love the yellows in the foreground and the lighting of the plant in the background. DOF is great and the motion blur of the trees gives this a feeling of surreal proportions. OUTSTANDING JOB! 10 from me.
I had thought of shooting this but wasn't sure if it would be okay or not. |
