Her far-away expression is perfect - this one really tugs at the heartstrings. Nice post processing, too, not just in terms of the lovely tones but also in terms of the smoothing and sharpening choices. The woman's skin and hair is almost over-sharpened, the doll's almost over smoothed -- the result is just the contrast I think you were going for. Top three for me.

This has some nice tones to it. The vignette in the corners is a nice touch and does seem to put more emphases toward your subjects. Good job at keeping the background clutter out of the shot and putting some emotion into it. (Nice title) I hope it does well in the challenge!

(Mark) I think that you've made the background way to sharp (the curse of digital versus analog) - it's ok here but it won't stand printing and a picture lives when printed. Still, a very nice picture

This is fantastic. The colors are amazing (especially the gradients in the sky). Composition is superb... off center just enough to not be boring, shows off the sky, signal is in the right place (if you are into rules), the lamps near the center are great, splash of graffiti always helps urban scenes. I really like the rusty, crusty, high-local-contrast texture of the bridge structure, and it practically glows off my screen. Great lines, great motion.

I'd imagine some might complain because this space calls for it that it's overcooked, but I find everything to work together in a wonderful way.
