Mixed messagesby markwileyComment by Paul: his image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. The obliteration of the face.
2. Then the 'aha' moment when we see it.
3. Then the wonder why we didn't see it straight away.
4. The interesting space - where is she? Where are we?
5. The dust graffiti.
6. The pooling of the light.
7. The excellent tones.
Great stuff. |

The Commuterby markwileyComment by Sterling87: I think this would have been stronger with the sky cropped out and the left side of the image cropped just past the woman's hand. Nice light on the subject's face, though. |

Mixed messagesby markwileyComment by Neat: If she was looking out the window it would of impacted me more, but as is I don't get a strong feeling for this one, I want too but it's just not there.
But it might later, I might revisit this one. |
