It certainly is a habit - apparently a very popular one considering the number of entries of a similar vein. Unfortunately I don't see much more than that - nothing reaches out and says "wow."

This photo seems a little out of focus, or maye suffers from motion blur. I think the subject is not that interesting.

It fits the challenge, but isn't much more than a snapshot to me.

Greeetings from the Critique Club!

Interesting shot as I see you have heard several times, but what could make it better? Well, the center of the keyhole almost looked like it's plugged up with some lime goop or something. Your title asked us to wonder what's behind it but the shot doesn't give us any clues and nor does it make me personally want to find out. Maybe if you were able to focus more on the keyhole and what was behind it, making me want to see more?

The colors are interesting but rather bland to me. Maybe playing with the contrast or curves might make them jump out more. I like the composition of the shot and the cropping, the angle of the broken lock brings me from left to right and from top to bottom so nice capture there. I see this is your first challenge, not to bad for your first time out. There is a lot of potential here and I can't wait to see more of your work!

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

Interesting textures / color. The out of focus area in the middle is a little distracting, but you've chosen a very interesting subject.

Neat color. How does it look w/ the dimensions of photo elongated w/ the key hole?
