Ticket to Rideby Sparky9001Comment by TooCool: Not bad! Nice job of not being in a noticably in a reflect! Could use just a touch more DOF so the tire was better in focus. I woulda cloned out the tire weight but that's just me.

The High Road & The Low Roadby Sparky9001Comment by cfischl: This is a nice idea, but would be significantly better if the two roads were in focus and the person was out of focus. It would also help if you burned the edges of the left path, and maybe waited for some clouds to come along to make the sky more dramtic. Another idea that might also make this more interesting is if you applied a slight radial blur that zoomed in towards the person. Just a few ideas.

Negligenceby Sparky9001Comment by cfischl: This would really be better if you reshoot and did a number of things. The firs tthing is to set your aperture at about f/8 and make sure the focus is spot on so as to get the best focus possible. Then, in photoshop, sharpen it ever so slightly and remove the yellowish cast by using either the channel mixer or colr balance. I really think this photo has a lot of potential and I appreciate the subtle message that it sends. Hope this helps some.

The High Road & The Low Roadby Sparky9001Comment by blindjustice: In theory, this is nice; however, it really doesn't work well with this crop/composition. The focus is all on the area of sweatshirt hood; which dominates the frame; the true focus should be on the paths behind, and they should at least be intentionally obscured, and not randomly darkened or lightened. perhaps a crop along shoulder level, or a little less contrast would work here. |
