Cat Scan by BradComment by ursula: Congratulations! This is way funny. I saw it during the voting (didn't vote this time), and just started laughing. Combined with the picture that came in #2, this is just great! |

Yes, it is funny. But this is photography contest, not humour. :/ |
I will try in the future to buy some better equipment, like a softbox or two, reflectors, umbrellas, multiple strobes, better backdrop materials and perhaps even a better camera.
Perhaps I should have shot this on the desk with all the clutter, or yet a white background to cut back on the light/dark contrasts.
Perhaps I should have cropped this differently too. I tried to make sure it wasn't static and dead center and at least my eyes are naturally drawn to the green light which falls in the realm of thirds.
If you have suggestions, please offer them. I have no way to better my photographs without your help. |

Your lack of understanding why this won is why he has 9 ribbons and you have zero. :)
It was the best humor shot.

Cat Scan by BradComment by Arcanist: I was unable to vote in this challenge but "Congrats again" Brad. So funny that the top two in this round are a Cat and Mouse game both related to the Mystical Brad ;) |

Cat Scan by BradComment by MAK: well deserved the blue in my opinion.. my only niggles was the fact that the tail needed to be put under a tiny bit but hey... worthy of blue.
As for jons comment - I am flabbergasted |

The Richard M. Nixon Library by Nightby BradComment by Imagineer: Challenge link: strong
Image critique: very impactful and dramatic in tonees. Good, long DOF. Composition is OK, but the central alignment bothers me a bit. i think this could have been improved with a lower POV looking upwards. This would give reverence to the subject and add drama.
Out-of-challenge appeal: not a great deal to bring me back because the subject doesn't hold me for long |
