Spanning the Darkby BradComment by Kylie: I am just now getting around to seeing the results of this challenge and was very pleased to see that I had given this a 10 with no idea that it was yours. Great minds think alike! lol |

Spanning the Darkby BradComment by gloda: Congrats Brad, I was looking for your image during the challenge but wouldn't have thought it was this one. I like the exceptional composition. You proved that you can still produce outstanding pictures with your "old" camera, even in difficult situations. |

Spanning the Darkby BradComment by Brad: Thanks all.
The comments & favs are what made it for me, as well as the 27th placing
in a challenge so heavily dominated by all the "good" hardware. Message edited by author 2005-05-12 00:55:24. |

Guardian of the Nightby BradComment by Brad: What a pleasant surprise to see someone take the time to comment at this level, without it being a Critique Club critique.
Thanks and kind regards Zed. |

Guardian of the Nightby BradComment by Zed Pobre: Dunno, I was one of the ones that gave you an 8 for it. My scoring breakdown (I've started trying to apply a methodology to my votes):
Base: 5 points (met the challenge)
Technical (from -2 to +1): +0 - No notable technical flaws, but not technically brilliant to the point of making me say "wow".
Subject (from -1 to +2): +1 - Somewhat interesting subject. It has a simple elegance, and the clouds provide a nice backdrop
Emotion (from 0 to +2): +2 - Strongly evocative. What got me was the lone star visible over the cross, making it the heavens watching over the church as much as the church watching over the night.
Personal (from -1 to +1): +0 - No personal bias for or against the image applied (I'm an athiest, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating decent symbolism).

Snap-On® - We have a Problem !by BradComment by 2Shay: Hah! Very funny! Probably a cost cutting measure at Chrysler... Hey boss, we could save .00002 on each bolt if we made it 5 sided instead of 6, and as a bonus, it matches our logo! Excellent Fred! We're promoting you to Sr. VP of Engineering. Hah Hah. Sorry, got carried away with myself! Back to the photo. I love the idea. The background is a bit distracting, and lighting could be a bit better on the wrench, but the creativity is excellent. Right up there near the top for me! Good job. |
