MySpace portrait sessionby BradComment by SandyP: Interesting that so many of your candid shots are truly "beautiful people", which makes the photos so darn Americana and appealing! . . . .don't they have any ummmmm. . .beauty challenged people where you live? Oh, I think I know: they all live in San Antonio and flock to wherever I have my candid camera out :) |

Caressing the Soulby BradComment by Noel_ZH: Do I think this image shows "Extreme Emotion": Somewhat. Doesn't look very sharp and background is a little confusing, like the idea, 5. |

Caballeroby BradComment by violinist123: Originally posted by Brad: Candid and Portrait - Same thing?
Not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes here, but this candid proved that it can also be a portrait. |
Not sure it really proves anything other than a candid shot doesn't always look like a candid shot. If you told me you were three feet from this guy shooting with an 85mm and telling him 'look over there', I would have bouht it was a regular portrait session.
I think the other side of the argument in that thread was more of is a telephoto shot of someone buying an ice cream cone down the block a portrait? At least tht was my take.
Anyway, hell of a shot. Was one of my favs in the challenge. |
