I am torn on this one . . . I really love the capture of the girl and the concept . . I tend to go for the less obvious concepts. But I honestly don't know if I would I would see it as opposites. I am learning that "meeting" the challenge is to be considered heavily when voting. To me -- really great piece!

Great creatures, great shot. You've got their shaggy hair sharp enough to pick out the strands, and the colors are great. The blurred out background keeps the focus where it belongs - on the critters. One nitpicking detail, that headless beast in the background is distracting. I think cloning it out is legal in the advanced editing rules.

This photo is too busy. Some elements are in silhouette, others are lighted. There are a lot of individual objects which attempt to capture our attention. The lines of the objects lead the eye in many different directions. It's interesting, but too chaotic to be successful. Good luck on future challenges, you seem to have good technique, but need to work on your composition.
