Great idea for a photo! The "icey bloom" does not appear to be the main focus point in this pic, however. The leaves in the middle of the pic seem to be most in focus. The color of the yellow blossom makes it a natural draw for the eye, but it seems secondary to the focus in this. Perhaps a different angle and a closer shot of the smallish blossom would improve a great concept. I like the ice on the leaves, and with those more in the background of the flower shot, I think this picture would provide some real visual interest. Keep shooting!

It is blue...so it meets the challenge. You could have made it a bit more interesting by putting the plane off center instead of bang on in the middle.

Clever title.
Had the subject been away from the center (rule of thirds), this would have worked better.
The plane was a bit too far away and the bluish hazy cast on the plane doesn't help this shot im my opinion.

Neat butter fly. Contrast in the wings is dramatic. DOF appropriately blurrs the background. It looks to me like the focus is just barely off on the bug though.

nice effort, but unfortunately, i can only give you points for meeting the spirit of the challenge. this would be more interesting if the subject wasn't so centered, was a little larger, and a little more in focus.
