I scored this photo high - it is a very good photo and a very good theme. This group is extremely liberal (but the do take nice photos!).
Welcome to DPC and keep entering!

This might win a ribbon. One of my favorites. I might spend the extra time to remove the sticks or leaves that are floating in the water under the highest bird. Also to right there looks like a couple specs of digital noise. Just a great shot. Good luck! 9

A very apt title. There are no "values" represented in this picture at all. Just the worship of a piece of cloth.

Truly a diversion from the pursuit of real peace & justice.

Excellent timing on this one! The ripples and the light in the water make this picture along with the terrific capture of the birds! Very nice!

All: There is a story that a respected Jananese business man said "A complaint is like a gift from the Gods." Well - for this image the Gods were generous indeed. I truly apprecate all the comments.

I was very surprised to see the distribution of scores - getting each and every score from 1 to 10!

For those who thought it was a copy - I must tell you that it was my very first challenge entry as I had just discovered the site. So, it was not a copy, but an unfortunate retread of an overused theme. In retrospect, I should have looked around the site a lot more before I entered a challenge. (It would be a good idea to tell "newbies" this perhaps.)

I have sent Mr. Setzler a private message apologizing for not having the forsight to look around past challenges, favorites, etc.

Finally, for the many many non-American DPCers, I would like to say that I was not trying to be an "ugly American" by suggesting the American flag was a symbol of strength. Once again, shame on me for not being aware this is a truly international group.

Once again, THANK YOU ALL for the gifts!

great capture, I love the way the two birds appear syncronised. this has a great "liquid gold" feel to it. Good composition too. Good Luck, Todd. 8

Photographically an interesting composition. For this to work as serendipity there has to be a need for the observer to see why a button in this situation is desireable, which unfortunately I cannot see where it does.
