The tonality is excellent, and the contrast of that single whole leaf worls well. I wish, for such a simple composition (and only made the more simple by your choice of placement of subject) that you'd managed to avoid the green grass completely: I think it slightly upsets your theme. Nice detail, and an interesting approach to the challenge - if perhaps a touch straightforward for me.
