DSC_6173.jpgby FirstyComment by SDW: With all due respect to shutterPugs comment I have to disagree with the story. I was able to see the story in the thumbnail version before I opened the file. I feel his frustration as, to me, it appears he has fallen during a routine in a competition. If front of the crowed it seems you captured that few seconds he took before getting up as he looks at the ramp in discuss at himself for failing to do what he in his heart knows he can do or needed to do in order to win.
However I have to agree with ShutterPug on the technicals, they are well executed. |

DSC_6173.jpgby FirstyComment by BeeCee: I LOVE this. His expression says it all, and the contrast in focus with the crowd highlights his isolation. We always see pictures of the great moves, pictures of the falls, but once the immediate drama is over we seem to look away, waiting for the next excitement. This captures a moment that is usually overlooked and I find it very powerful. |

DSC_5908.jpgby FirstyComment by MadMan2k: Nice shot. Cute bird, and he looks so alone in the big row of cages with no other birds in sight. |

DSC_6173.jpgby FirstyComment by ShutterPug: Not sure of the story here. Has he fallen from his skateboard? If so I think a shot of the fall would be more powerful. It's just too hard to tell what has happened here.
The technicals are all very well executed. I would just like a story to be told too. |

DSC_5908.jpgby FirstyComment by ShutterPug: Again - wonderful use of a shallow DOF. I really like the clarity and detail in this poor birds face. I just want to reach into the pic and free him. |
