at first glance i thought, "what...so dark, i can't make it out...". then, as i looked longer i got the experience of my eyes adjusting to the dark and then i was completely creeped out!!

did you change the title?

Well, it is dark. I'm not sure about this one. It feels like the vertical opening is too centered in the crop. Something more interesting in the doorway would enhance this picture, IMO. Also, I'd move the crop over so the door is more to the left of the frame, leaving the light washing over the carpet across the right. In so doing, the shiny glare on the top left would be lost, which I think would be a help as well.
