Smoke on the waterby bobdaveantComment by MWitt: Hey Bob,
I really like your shot. Love the little wisp of steam(smoke) (; rising up off the water and I especially like the sunrays shooting in from the top. Beautiful!
At least your shot had "Smoke"! LOL I entered mine(Smoke on the Water) knowing it didn't have any smoke. Didn't care, just wanted to submit something. Not particularly happy with any of the challenge topics lately. This was as close as I could get within the time frame. Thanks for the comment.
Cheers....Martin |

Smoke on the waterby bobdaveantComment by bobdaveant: Originally posted by skiprow: i guess this is another one of those images that contributed to the great 'smoke vs steam' debates. i don't care...this is a great shot. i, for one, truly appreciate it, because i know how hard it is to be there at that time of day, and how easy it is to miss the shot when you get caught up in the beauty of being there. great capture. if you don't mind, after the challenge, could you also put up the original in your portfolio? |
Here is the original unedited picture.... |

I'm Number Oneby bobdaveantComment by _wu_: The picture is too dark. Should have do a bit of postprocessing to make the colours better. After all this is a members challenge |

I'm Number Oneby bobdaveantComment by PhilipDyer: Great capture and a nice action photo. The shot seems a bit dark, so it might look better a little brighter and with a bit more contrast. Still, it's a really nice shot. |

I'm Number Oneby bobdaveantComment by flip89: Love the triangular arrangement. A simple autolevels or playing with brightness/contrast would have removed the grayish cast. I like that you didn't cut the shadow of the foreground kid because it gives it more perspective. |
