101 Proofby JenguinComment by kiwiness: Even though the fence is a nuisance (I know myself from shooting at the zoo last weekend!) it doesn't seem to be so bothersome in this image. The positioning of the "fauna" is optimal and the cropping, although tight, is also good. The only small problem is the overall darkness in the image, but I guess you couldn't have done too much about that right? |

Stars & Stripesby JenguinComment by sjgleah: Obviously this is, strictly speaking, a candid shot. And it is nicely done, technically. What keeps me from scoring it highly it is that the image would essentially be the same if the subjects knew that you and the camera were there or not. The subjects are there to be looked at and photographed, so the "candid" nature of it dimnishes in my eyes. An example of "candid" that I'd like better in this context would be an image of kids who are looking at or amazed by these stiltwalkers. Isn't SJ colorful? 4 sjgleah |
