Making pictures of statues interesting is not easy, and this one does not work for me. The house in the background is distracting and the angle of view isn't very interesting.

WOW Nice but the building in the background is just too over exposed.. try underexposing theeverything to get more detail in teh building behind and then using photoshop levels bring out the shadows. Remeber you can bring out the detail in the dark places more then in the highlights.. But I gave you a 6 because I like the shot

This photo doesnt really hold that much interest to me, and the toning is a bit too pink for my tastes, but its nice and sharp. It seems to be tilted right a bit though, and I think there is too much road. A higher crop would help I think.
