Lighting: Well balanced with good catchlight.
Pose: Pose is good, expression is a bit odd for a portrait. The DOF was a bit short, the right shoulder is blurred slightly.
Background: Very licely done black.

An interesting choice to use the relatively wild-colored plaid with a photo in which large blocks of smooth color predominate. I'm not sure if it was an esthetic choice, meant to convey something about the personality of the subject, or was just the only clean short available :) I'd like to see this with a solid dark blue or brown shirt for comparison. Lighting and focus and stuff look fine to me.
