Nice subject well captured. For my taste, a bit too much background and a bit too little subject. White on the left is blown out. if you backed off on brightness a bit, would you still have had texture in the background on the left?

Good depiction of this leaf, perhaps would be even better if you could have found a whole leaf to photograph. The background and soft shadow are effective.

awwwww i love it i love it i love it!!!! there are a couple of weird things though. 1) on the left half, where there isnt a shadow, it looks like a perfect white background. however, underneath the leaf, there is texture. I think it should have been one way or the other. very nice though. 2) the white part of the leaf blends too much into the background, so there isn't much contrast. 3) the leaf looks a tiiiiiiiny bit out of focus.
Overall, i love the composition and I think you did a great job. Hope it ribbons or top tens!
