My first flower pictureby TrollManComment by Dave Gordon: Great shot for a first try. I really like the detail, the color and the out-of-focus background that makes the flower stand out. This could be an entry in the Centered Subject challenge. Good choice of crop and beautiful colors. Take more flower pictures by all means.

Past Timesby TrollManComment by cghubbell: Interesting composition and subjects. I'd like to see the lighting bring out more detail in the rusty object on the left, and possibly a point of view more from the right to bring out the profil in the rusty object. Overall very well done. |

My first flower pictureby TrollManComment by melismatica: If this is your first flower shot it's a really great effort. I gave it a six because I'm not nuts about the horizontal format for this subject. I love the how the yellow of the stamen really zings against the green and purple. |
