The Three Sides of Squareby AnnidaComment by magnetic9999: Critique Club
I very much enjoy the color choices in this picture. The black background and the mirrors cause an optical illusion such that one gets the impression one is looking at an Escher-like design. The granularity of your camera's image add to the effect such that this really almost has the feel of a painting, or a 3D render with 'dirtied up' texture maps. |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment by indigo997: This needs quite a bit of technical help. The crop and composition are pretty good. The wall behind the kitty is too shiny. Perhaps you could tack up a little fabric or something less reflective. The lighting overall is too dark, but there are (what appears to be) flash burns on the paws and bottom left corner. If you had even, diffused lighting then the soft focus wouldn't be that big a problem to me. I just can't see the kitty's eyes. |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment by Gene L.: Kute kitty, but kind of blurry. The specular highlights (bright reflections of light) from the background also serve to detract from the image. Better to pull the subject forward and away from the wall. If possible, also cover with some low reflective cloth or paper. |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment by PTLParsons: Much too soft of focus. Also the cat looks like it is falling down into a crevice between the wall and whatever he is laying on. You didn't get quite all the color out which gives him a purple nose. Good potential with better execution. |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment by KimInNB: But when is s/he not napping, exactly? Nice pic of a furry kitty!! Like the position of kitty's legs - so cute. Not crazy about the shiny background (upper left corner). |

Caught Nappingby AnnidaComment by dadas115: It looks like the camera locked the focus on the wall instead of the kitty. What a cute kitty though. Very nice pose. I love the way the paws are positioned.
