Oh, Gin Tay you was robbed! Why on earth this didn't do better or even get one comment is a mystery to me, it's a wonderful image, I love it. The lighting on the building is amazing and captured perfectly well done. But, what really makes this impact work are the silhouettes and shadows, and now, looking closer I see that they are part of the original projection but they still work really well. Apart from all of that your composition and timing to wait for someone to enter the frame is perfect, but again I'm getting real confused here, the person is not part of the projection is she? I ask because I would expect to see the projection falling onto her clothing and I don't but it clearly is on the hand.
For all of the confusion, I adore this image because it works in so many ways and not least it keeps you questioning and enthralled. I just so wish this had gone to the top of the pile as it deserves, for what its worth, you do have at least one appreciative viewer, thank you Gin Tay... |

Thank you so much for your comments. Truly appreciate your liking.
This image was taken hand-held. I waited for a subject to walk past to give a 3D feel against the silhouettes & shadows. What I like also is the timing when the projection lighted her hand holding a plastic cup & I thought this is an image I would like to share with DPC members.

Celebration on the Moveby gintayComment by gintay: Originally posted by sidpixel: Hello from the critique club
An appealing image that contributes to the challenge
Your image captures the mood well, a bunch of people all in the festive spirit and out to entertain each other and the crowds. Your position is good with the overhead decorations forming an integral part of the overall scene. In terms of the challenge brief, we donĂ¢€™t really get a feeling of transportation simply because we are too close, it would have been better to be further away and show more of the bus preferably including the wheels. |
I had the same feel after I had seen other members submission. I'm on the wrong track.
Thank you so much for your feedback
