Nice owl shot. Lucky you to have seen what appears to be a great horned owl in person! The detail in the feathers is just lovely. Did you stretch the challenge topic a bit? I think so. But I can't blame you for wanting to show this off. It would, of course, be more perfect without the upright branch, if you could have just gotten a little different perspective on it...

Great shot, though I'm not sure it depicts boredom... awareness, maybe...
I believe you oversharpened the image, because I can see tiny dots on the sky area. But, overall, you have a very nice shot. I'll give it an 8.
