It seems a little soft on either focus or by motion blur, but it stands out from the BG almost like 3D because of the color contrast. It's effective.

Poppies are so very dramatic, aren't they? One small suggestion: blur the background more. Just too much detail there and it's trying to compete with the poppy IMO.

Love them :-))) And not just because I've gotten good scores with images of them LOL. The rich colors and the transition to the creamy center, the soft petals ... they're just pretty. From this angle it's like a waterfall my eye is inevitably falling into.

I didn't get many in my yard this year, either; I think most of the summer was too hot and dry here. We're over the dry now, in spades!
