I love the translucent leaves, and the combination of orange and white. I find the dark area in the top right corner distracting--perhaps the image could be improved if the top was cropped. Otherwise, great composition.

Hello Aaron. Congratulations! You are just the second person to enter a DP Challenge using the new D300! :-)

I like your photo. It's a simple idea, but lovely. Fits the theme very well, too.

If I may be hyper-critical, I see three things that could use tweaking. First, the photo tilts a bit to the right. If you have the extra space to crop around the subject, you could rotate a bit to the left so the ornament hangs perfectly vertical. Second, the vignetting on the right side is sort of heavy for this photo. Third, I think the ornament is a bit soft. I see you used f/5.6 -- one would think this would be plenty -- but still the focus seems sharper on part of the branch.

Hope you don't mind the nitpicking. I'm anxiously awaiting my D300 and expect there to be a big learning curve. Keep up the good work!
