Don't fence me in.by s2fraserComment by e301: One of the diffficulties about this challenge, is that this (somewhat obvious) use of the technique also involves the other compositional trick of 'leading lines' - which have the effect of drawing the viewer's eye to their meeting place - in this case, the extreme left edge of your frame, and that partially visible shed. Kind of a shame, because you've captured a moment of light moderately well, even though the hugely blow-out sky is rather an annoyance. There are ways t avoid that, however. A 4 |

Don't fence me in.by s2fraserComment by dwolff: One of my top five. Lighting is great, not too bright or dark. Fence line give the illusion of a vanishing point so it meets the challenge and I like that you added a subject that goes naturally with your vanishing point. Beautiful horse. |

Don't fence me in.by s2fraserComment by _wu_: Less focus on the horse, more focus on the fence would make this pic much better. And maybe a bit too light. But the idea is GREAT. |

Revenge of the big sister!by s2fraserComment by s2fraser: Thanks everyone, especially Deannda! I knew going in that such a specific reference to a picture months ago might not go over, but figured what the heck!
Still working on this sort of 'studio' shot, so thanks again, and I'll keep trying to get those silly feet in focus. I think the problem was that the camera was at 'head' height, tilted forward to get everything in the shot; leaving the feet at a distance relative to the top. I'm happy with the lighting, though!
Cheers
Stu
