Native Spirit (Crop 2)by just-marriedComment by kirbic: I simply love this shot. This is the best crop, IMO. The subject fills the frame, and the lack of extraneous detail really focuses attention on her. I think this would benefit from some gentle curves work to bring up midtone contrast; I took a 10-second poke at it in PS and liked the result. Damn nice capture!
Edit: After some more consideration, extend this crop a bit more to the right to bring in the ends of the streamers. Would make it close to 8x10 aspect ratio :-) Message edited by author 2005-04-25 21:02:40. |

Native Spirit (Crop 2)by just-marriedComment by nova: This one is my favorite version. Love the way the red & yellow fringe shows motion, and the expression of fun and happiness on her face. Very nice photo! |

Elizabeth Riverby just-marriedComment by bpickard: This is a great view..from an aeroplane? I think in this instance, B/W takes away from the shot. It looks as though there would be plenty of nice greens here to frame the river and its reflections. Ben |

Eyes to Swim Inby just-marriedComment by Tuckersmom: Please tell us you're going to frame this and hang it on your wall... What a great capture and gorgeous girl - you should be proud of both. Good job |

Eyes to Swim Inby just-marriedComment by arpita: what a lovely picture of an extremely sweet child. your conversion to b/w is very nice here. just one suggestion about the crop: i noticed while scrolling down the page that it was easier to be drawn to the eyes when the image is cropped vertically from the top, down to about where the higlights in the hair end...
she has beautiful eyes and you have caught a great expression. good job!! |

Eyes to Swim Inby just-marriedComment by rex: Very well done. I love everything about it. I really like the eyes, very interesting. I am sorry I have nothing to say about making it better. If I were you I would frame it. That is a timeless moment and a very well executed shot. |
