Sunriseby TranquilComment by howzit: Early bird catches the worm! Lee, this is a great pano. I am sure it would print wonderfully on glossy paper. I have noticed that computers don't always show the detail that printed photos do in the darker areas. As a huge fan of panos I must say I am really impressed with your stitching/merging. I would love to see more details about your post processing and merging in the comments area above.

Sunriseby TranquilComment by Bear_Music: Very nice indeed. I'd like to see some contrast masking to bring the dark areas up in value about a zone. I'd like to see some work done on the center of the sky especially at the very top to even it out. Lovely shot! |

Sunriseby TranquilComment by Beetle: Lovely scene with stunning colours, but I have one problem with it:
The dark areas aren't dark enough to be silhouettes only (in which case it would be fine not to see any details), but light enough to see a little bit which makes me want to see more.
I just opened it in PS and used the shadow/highlight tool - I like it much better now. The colors and scene as still as beautiful, plus I'm seeing more detail. |

Sunriseby TranquilComment by jdannels: Lee, this pretty great scene you got there, I used to do these alot and I found a few spots to check on from your larger file on deviantart. If you follow the raft up directly center into the clouds you have a seam you missed, And the dock from that white raft to the right is segmented into three parts. The big sailboat on the right is off a bit abit in the back a where you can see the back of the boat up in the air abit. The way I ended up doing them was to match different photos where there is no detail like somewhere in the water. And for big details like the dock, take one photo that has the whole dock in it and erase the other layers to have one continuous block of information from a single photo if possible. But really you got the hardest part for me nailed, matching all the colors together and you have it spot on. Its a great job you did and nice scene. Hope you didn't mind the critique.
