The person, like a compass in a photo of a geological site, confirms scale and size. Therefore, IMO you were right to include her (him?). I expect you were using a polarizer too? Considering the brightness, it all came out well.

That is some serious depth in the sky...

I think what makes it special is the complexity. it really genuinely has a different point of interest in every corner and in many points between.

the relatively small human, standing also in shadow, represents very well the strange relationship mankind has... The somewhat portly stature suggests that they have lived well and taken good advantage of what the land has to offer.

The display of nature's braun is displayed magnificently with the water, and is mirrored in the shadow covering the person... ultimately powerful displays with no actual long term effect on the individual outside of a gently mist and a slight chill.
