NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by ChrisW123: Awesome picture... if those cranes in the background weren't there it would be even better. 8. |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by indigo997: I like the bird! The statue is a little too close to the bottom of the shot. I'd prefer a little more water. Might also try changing the black point to make a stronger silhouette. 7 |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by rmahan: This is an excellent sky and an excellent image of the Statue of Liberty. It's really too bad that all the ironworks in the background and, unfortunately, the bird, too, draw the eye away from the power point of this image. Nice choice of timing for the sky and good exposure. |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by Annida: Lovely capture, the mood, the bird.. my only gripe is that you're not facing the lady from the front :) 9 -Annida |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by KingLok: What are those cranes doing there? Where is the sun? A brown coloured filter would do the trick even in broad daylight. Was this actually taken during sunset? |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by PTLParsons: Absolutely awesome. Is all that in the background work at ground zero? I love this photo, especially at this time in history. Ride the emotion. The color of the sky just adds to this. Very artistic. Love it. |

NYC sunsetby BeeGeeComment by JPR: My top rated sunset this week! It may help that I am from NY, but even for other viewers, I think the statue of liberty and what it represents is a lot more powerful a silhoutee than pom trees, houses, and bushes. I like that you got the bird in the photo as well and the cranes or whatever in the background give it a very interesting feel. They make me think of strange mechanic giraffes and make me question the meaning of beauty and liberty in our great country. I might have cropped out the upper parts of the sky and the water on the bottom to get rid of the lightest whites as well as give it a nice widescreen look. Excellent job, 9. |
