Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by KarenNfld: Congratulations on your win. I voted this a 10 and I'm glad to see it won the blue, regardless of what others may say. |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by SandyP: Yes, this is definitely deserving of a ribbon, but maybe in another challenge instead of the 2-second shutter speed challenge. It is outstanding tho!!! |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by espy2: My sentiments are definately with hotpasta's comments. I really don't think this should have won and there should have been a special rule on this challenge to DQ any photo not within the 2 seconds. The whole idea was not to take any long exposure shot, but one within the rules which as you must be aware of, is not that easy with 2 seconds.
It's lovely and a wonderful photo, but it should have never been entered in a 2 second challenge when so many, including myself, went out of our way to stay within the spirit of the challenge. Your ribbon was ill received. I appreciate your apology, but its a little too little and a little too late. :) |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by hotpasta: Justin, there's no doubt that this is a great shot from a great perspective. Congratulations.
I need to say a few things about this shot:
I'm really disappointed that you entered the 2 second challenge with a 1/2 second shot. It puts all of the hard work that several hundred photographers below you down the tubes. I didn't enter the challenge, so it's no sour grapes on my part. You got the ribbon, but you got it like an athlete who takes forbidden substances to get the edge over others. I know that's harsh, but it's the way I see it.
I don't expect you to give your ribbon back, but for a promising photographer with a superb portfolio, it's something you need to learn from for the future. Fairness should be the first value of any challenge.

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by olbol: How strange. Dull, over-used theme with no highlights... Greens are obviously dodged by heavy masking and them being unsharp doesn't add. A stable 5, no more. If only I had voting rights :) |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by Kaizer: Congratulations, a very good photograph.
However, I just feel for the guys who entered technically correct 2 sec exposure photographs and were placed lower as a result of photographs that DNMC at all. Message edited by author 2006-03-27 05:27:46. |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by CraigF: Congratulations on the win.
Have to agree though that because it wasnt a 2 second shot it really should not have been entered. The extra 1 and a half seconds of light etc. etc. on this shot would have made it a lot more difficult to achieve the effect you have. |
