Tribute to Rissaby elsapoComment by LalliSig: Nice and cool that you got the same expression. Only to nitpick, I think the beak should be in focus too but other than that, pretty good. 7 from me. |

Good example but dose not out smart the details of the challenge.
Details: Take a photograph using a shutter speed of exactly 2 seconds.
It's probably not fair to DQ the picture but it's even more unfair to those who did send in a 2 sek exposure pictures. Then it's unfair to the voter that thought he was voting on a 2sek exposure picture and would have voted diffrently if he would have known.
(I did not vote nor submit a picture to this challenge)
solution - extend the voting time. Message edited by author 2006-03-28 07:42:37. |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by Leighroy: Congratulations on the ribbon, well deserved. In my humble opinion, as someone that did not enter or vote, is that I think the description is just that, a description of what to do. Would a 1/500 shot of a naked man standing in a window ("exposing himself") for two seconds (hence a two second exposure) be right or wrong? I think it would be a lateral interpretation of the challenge and perfectly alright, as is this shot. I actually thought it was longer rather than shorter. Good one, congrats. PS.. I'm still jealous and want your ribbon... :)
EDIT AFTER A FEW COMMENTS
I didn't enter or vote and as a result I made the above comment without realising what the details of the challenge said.. "Take a photograph using a shutter speed of exactly 2 seconds."... I stand corrected. The DPC needs to change and make the details something that needs to be adhered to. My apologies. Message edited by author 2006-03-29 00:47:03. |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by BobsterLobster: I hope you're not letting all the bitter people who wanted a better score get you down... at the end of the day you didn't win this ribbon because you cheated, you won it because you have a good eye and are a good photographer. Enjoy it. |

Enchanted Falls by elsapoComment by siggi: Awsome photo and probably deserves a ribbon in some other challenge.
Well,if you think about it like this:
the winner in high jump is the "pole vaulter" jumping over 5m high.
But it's not your fault, there should have been added an extra rule to the challenge that said it must be a 2sek exposure.
If it where my picture I would ask for a DQ my self since I would not feel good having earnd a blue ribbon this way. |
