I think that this is a fantastic picture. The muted colours and the softness of the plants make one look more carefully to see if there is anything hidden there.

Thanks for the info. Sounds a little out of my realm of knowledge for now but it does help explain why there are no star trails.

Star trails won't appear under some certain conditions. At first the mount has to be well balanced. Next step is a carefull polar alignment and finally the autoguiding of the mount is correcting slight imperfections. The whole procedure is quite hard sometimes and demands patience and precision.
The Takahashi EM200 mount if the 1st and 2nd condition are satisfied, is capable of delivering 4 to 5 minutes of unguided exposure, for the given focal length of the imaging scope (600mm).
