First Impression - the most important one: Good angle/perspective on this shot and I like the B&W tones.

Composition: Composition is a good element in this photo. I like the lines that are created by the sheep and I especially like how only one sheep has his head to the camera. And it looks like he's staring right at you!

Subject: I like the subject for this shot, though I'm sure you probably took a few hits for it not being a person, as was stated in the challenge description. These animals make a neat study in texture, especially the texture of the one up front as compared to those farther back.

Technical (Colour, focus, and light): Again, I like the B&W tones in this photo...I think they work well here. The focus does seem to be a tad bit off. The interesting textures would be picked up more with a sharper focus. The lighting enhances the feel of this photo as well. The interplay of shadow and light, between the sheep and the spaces between them, comes off very well due to the lighting.

To grow its vote?: There are two things which likely affected voting on this photo. The first being that the challenge description specifically stated people....nuff said on that. My second guess would be that the description also mentioned using shallow DOF to create the Singled Out effect. In this photo the one sheep seems Singled Out due to the fact that it's the only one looking at you.

Summary: A very nice photo that I enjoyed! There were a couple of aspects that led to it not fitting certain challenge description areas, but it also has many good things going for it!

I don't understand the title as it doesn't seem to relate well to the picutre, which in its own is wonderful. Bumping up.
