Very cool! I would drop the stray thingy in near the center of the bloom. I like the lightness in the lower RH corner just to give a little variation around the perimeter. You might lighten up the center of the flower a touch for more detail.

Overall, interesting, artsy, and a nice conversion to BW.

Nice b/w - good contrast level and gray scale. The center of the flower looks a bit too dark though and lacks detail. The foremost part of the flower with the DOF is fine, except the bent piece that distracts me a bit.

Very different. I like it. I get tired of regular, run-of-the-mill pics of flowers.

Maybe just 2 tiny little nit picks: the one strand is bent in the lower left quadrant and the white piece of something coming out of the center of the flower.

I like flowers and especially black and white and toned ones. Great composition and nice tonality. I would see if you can bring just a touch more detail in the center, just a little bit.

I don't like the red banner thingie across the top. :-)

What I do like is that although when I first look at it, I think it's too soft, when I linger a bit I notice that the gentleman walking is very sharp, but the environment around him is soft. I kinda like it that way.

he he, I thought it was funny as well however it is a 30 month plus shot so was easirr to put down. Jeremy, this realy is a bad image but your more recent shots make it worth while learning the hard way ;)
