Nice enough fireworks pic, especially with the purple, so why didn't it do better? I am guessing that the puff of smoke to the upper left of the burst is part of the problem; the smoke underneath helps to support the burst but that puff there just seems to detract and I look for more happening in that area, but there is nothing to see. The pole at bottom left isn't very intrusive, but it's there and noticeable enough that it should be cropped out or cloned out.

Finally I think the title isn't helping. When I read it, I expected to see a house or farm over which the works were exploding; you can't assume that people are going to see the words 'homsetead' and 'fireworks' and think, 'Oh this was shot at the Homestead Speedway'.
