Haha, I love this. It reminds me of the old lounge records, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin type records. The dogs are adorable but seems a bit bright on the one on the left. Just a tad blown out. I like the title of the band but the lettering is overpowering to me. Smaller size font that went all the way across the top, with the Size Doesn't Matter right under it to the left, I think would have worked better. As is a 7

I don't know what the deadline for submissions were in this contest, but the photo obviously isn't recent because the "first sat. and sun. in October" aren't that close to June or July.

I voted a 7 on this picture and was disappointed to see that it wasn't scored overall a bit higher. I really love the colors, and the bridge/crane (?) seems to be pretty much in line with the horizon. My only real complaint is that the bridge/crane seems a touch out of focus, but then again that might be an illusion. Nice work, though!

Without benefit of the title I had a hard time determining the subject of this photo. Maybe a tighter focus on your subject would have helped?

The picture has too many elements in it taking the focus away from the dog. I hate to see pets dressed up, but thats just my opinion.

Sorry, not a person, but:

Lighting: Well lit, with expressive catchlights.
Pose: "I'm going to bite you leg off if you do not give my master a good score." ;)
Background: The background is too cluttered. I realize it was the intention, but it draws too much attention away from the model of the portrait.
