Good idea, nicely done photo. The different textures/shades along the rip adds interest.

This one hits the mark in a thoroughly endearing, minimalist manner. I'd already voted you a 10, commenting now. My best in show pick.

Hello from the critique club

An interesting image that contributes well to the challenge

What an unusual and interesting sculpture, well found Marcel. I like that you have explored all options in choosing a viewpoint from which to create your image but I̢۪m not convinced you found the best position. As I look at the image the first thing that hits me are the interesting faces very quickly replaced by the distracting background, particularly the lighter blue, the fluorescent lights of the reflections and the white lights in the external background. The other problem is the child̢۪s head sitting on top of the ladies head as it does. I don̢۪t know if it was possible or whether it would have worked but given the theme of the sculpture I wonder if you could have approached it from a rear position with a wide angle over the mens shoulder between him and the lady using the mens faces and his leading arm pointing out to a soft focus background?

Hello from the critique club

An image that contributes to the challenge

Well Marcel, I don̢۪t think this is one of your better efforts which is disappointing given your recent good form. I concur with the considered and helpful comments you have received, I don̢۪t really have a lot more to add except to say that this feels like a rushed snapshot that had little or no thought applied you could and should have done so much more with it. Better luck next time.

Nice colours, but the composition is rather awkward, with the eye being led to the pole just off centre, rather than the house and bridge as seems to be intended, and the goose at the left edge leading the eye out of the frame.
