Good work. Lacks the dynamism to really excite the eye - colours and textures quite muted really, and your presentation (composition and cropping, aspect ratio) isn't actually doing it any favours - not quite sure what i'd change, but the eye being dead centre to frame is a difficult thing to get away with, even though you've promoted it to the top of the image.

+ You did get close to the eagle. There is some texture noticeable.
- POV isn't very interesting at the moment. This could have been improved as the eagle moved its head more to the viewer.

felt that becuase the challenge was texture that more feathers coulkd have been in focus to display more texture

For a texture shot, would have liked a larger DOF. Not crazy about this perspective. I think I would have cropped more off the right to focus on the beak and eye area more.

Much of the texture goes unnoticed due to shallow depth of field. Focus seems to be on beak which doesn't hold much in the way of texture or interest. Hard shot to capture perfectly I'm sure, good effort.
