Lovely rose, well done for it, but the cat, even though good contrast element in the photo, is washed out badly. I also think the color value of the grass and the rose are a little too close for the rose to "stand out" as much as I would have liked to have seen it. I really like the edges of the rose petals and the way they stand out. Were the petals tipped in white? Very nice!

The cat is overexposed, but you probably know that. I can't decide if it adds to it or detracts though. It definitely pulls my attention away from the rose though. A very interesting composition.

On my monitor you lose the highlights on the cat, but pretty good DOF to capture these two subjects this well.

If the cat had been interested in the flower, I think this would have worked better for me. Cat seems "too" white.
