The Inspectorby scalvertComment by Rainybeet: This is a great photo on nearly all levels, and it is a perfect example of when manipulation of a scene before and after capture is appropriate. The best thing about this photo, and its accompanying story, is that it is a fantastic example of seeing an image in your mind and then working overtime to capture it in your camera. |

The Inspectorby scalvertComment by macrothing: Fooled me with that silk flower - guess I was so 'taken' with the capture (set-up or not), that despite wanting more detail in the flower (and I now know why there isn't), I obviously didn't 'inspect' it very well. Creative, as usual. Nice use of a peanut. Congratulations. |

The Big One-Oh!by scalvertComment by DrAchoo: On the first 15 pictures I see, I'm looking for a full 30 seconds and leaving a comment...I like the composition and the fade to black is excellent. I tend to like a deeper DOF and in this case I'm not sure what the slightly OOF blouse is adding. Since this is the first shot I've seen, I'll likely be back to change the vote a bit. 7 for now. |
