Nice choice of subject. I love the texture of the iron and the stonework. The composition is really good. And I like the overall effect of the lighting. I find the strongly mottled background makes it just a little too hard for me to focus on the subject. At one level it adds interest - it keeps me looking at the photo. But on another level, I ust want to give up because I find the task too difficult.

Excellent photo, the look of it is right on the edge between sharpness and watercolor, approaches a painting in that style. Also, taking out color makes the composition do the talking and it is freaking loud! :)
