How interesting! Great colours. Looks like something edible, that bump with the fuzz makes me think that. Or it could be a glass sculpture/paperweight and the fuzz is dust.

The title is actually inspired by the Carl Sagan's book "Pale Blue Dot" - Earth as seen from far in the universe. The pale red dot is what hopefully a certain political party is going to become in the world's memory...

The photo could use a bit more focus. Also would be better if you played with the crop some (ie placing the dot in one of the corners or something)
