I am participating in the "Why a '5' not a '6'?" commenting activity (see recent forum thread). Viewers are asked to leave a comment with some of their votes of '5' letting the photographer know why, for them, it fell short of a vote of '6'. If you have found this comment useful, you may wish to offer some of your own to those images where you vote 5.

I'm not a fan of images of objects and as such you were always up against it for my vote. I am a fan of your lighting here though - I think that adds quite a lot more interest than there might have otherwise been. Looks like it could be a pre-digital radiology light box.

In the end though - although this is a good idea, meets the challenge and is well executed, it isn't beautiful as an image or intriguing or confounding in any way. Much of this is the fault of the challenge rather than your response to it, but nonetheless there's little here to hold me.

If it helps, my average score given for this challenge was quite a bit lower than the 5 I've dished out here.

this seems like a great stock art idea, but your lighting needs to be equal and your bills need to at least all be right side up. it would probably also be helpful if it didn't run over the edge and there was some sort of path to better lead the eye into the maze.
